Songwriter David Shaw lives in Southern California. He’s been playing guitar and writing songs for since he was a kid. He is currently in the studio recording more songs, some topical, some about life and love. <p style="margin: 5pt 0in" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">David Shaw&rsquo;s Protest Song Helps Raise Funds to Promote Peace </font></p><p style="margin: 5pt 0in" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">David Shaw&rsquo;s song, &lsquo;Didn&rsquo;t Sign Up For This&rsquo;, which protests the war in Iraq, has also become a fund raising tool. He&rsquo;s been donating a portion of each download fee to organizations working to end the war and bring troops home. The song is available at www.DidntSignUp.com. </font></p><p style="margin: 5pt 0in" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">&ldquo;I wrote this protest song because of the strong feelings of sadness, anger, frustration and disbelief I&rsquo;ve had since the day this country went to war in Iraq,&rdquo; said Shaw. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a war that&rsquo;s been built on shameless lies, and the list of lies keeps growing. So much so, that at times, I have to work to be shocked. I&#39;ve come to expect them. But the consequences of the lies are so spectacularly vast and frightening that to become inured to them is extravagantly irresponsible&rdquo;. </font></p><p style="margin: 5pt 0in" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Shaw&rsquo;s rock genre political song tells the story of a soldier who becomes disillusioned the rationale behind the war.
