About J Taylor

Since his first out reach to fame in early 2004, June has been trying to make a name for his label Tru Statement, as well as himself. Taught how to compose music on FL Studio by friend Jack “Flash” Papandreou a child prodigy at the software. June entered the game as a producer. He later began producing music for local artist such as Da Goodfellaz. Artist Raw Biznez asked June to go to the with him to record “Troublesome”, a track produce by June. It was his first time in a professional studio. That day he knew he wanted to do more than produce.

His first recording along with longtime friend and label mate Laron “Majik” Medley as Deuces was a feature on Certified Starz “Throw Your Deuce Up”. But it was his first solo track “No Go Streets” that won the heart of non-believers of his talent. The song expressed the troubled time June was having and the harsh reality of living in North Chicago during a murder increase in the city. After his peers took his music serious, it was then he knew he had a gift.

Based in the mind June, Tru Statement is the meaning of music, “To express your feelings and thoughts through your music. To spit it how it is, how it was, and how it will be.” says June. His dream is to see his best friends and family at the top spots of the industry, even if he has to be the one to led them there. He is a producer, artist, and businessman all rolled in one humble soul with a glow that forces those around him to shine bright. He brings the best out of people and turns the bad into good. Every track to every beat is filled whit his determination. A youth with so much spirit whose only goal is to let his statements be heard.
