Fingers and Toes is looking forward to a productive summer on the heels of a new e.p. due out sometime this spring. They'll be touring the east coast and midwest in may, june and july. Excitement about this young and innovative band is growing in their native Chicago. The group continues to grow and change together, always striving to present music which is truly inspiring and from the heart. here's what the owner of local label fresh produce had to say about a recent show: "I really enjoyed that show at the muse. I think the thing i like the most about fingers and toes is that they are open to new and magical things happening within the performance. there are songs and planned out bits. and there are improvised sections but they don't sounds like "jamming". from an audience perspective, it doesn't feel like the band has a plan for how they want you to feel. they just try to pull you into the feeling of what they are doing. there is something about the spirit of the performance that makes it feel like pure music is possible and that the we just have to wait for it to come through. and while audience and performers wait for the occasional flashes of pure energy and inspiration, they experience heartfelt songs sung with real feeling. it has become cliche to say that a band's live performance creates something totally different than a recording of them can so i won't say that. but i will say that i want to keep seeing fingers and toes perform and perform and perform."
