Thanks to everyone for the kind support in the upcoming release of the new single Cd "The Wall".  This song was inspired from a true heart felt poem written by Vietnam Veteran Homer Pack."The Wall" is on schedule for release in July and more information will be coming soon. In agreement with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington DC; 6% of all proceeds will be donated directly to the fund…                                                                                                                      Thanks Again…

Rob Logar was born with a guitar in his hand. He was not only the son of musicians but grew up in a musically endowed family. He was raised on country, gospel and bluegrass, but as he grew older he found that country interested him the most. After hearing the works of artists such as Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, there was no doubt about the path that he would pursue. He formed the Whiskey River Band, and after a decade is still remembered for his honky-tonk sound. After Whiskey River, Rob began writing songs and forming his more recent band called Modern Day Outlaws, a five member band from West Virginia. Rob’s writing and musical styles range from the sweetest melodies to the driving country that the fans crave. With the arrival of his new CD, he hopes to reach those fans and sway the country "skeptics".
Rob (lead vocals and guitar/rhythm guitar) has played in a variety of venues ranging from many outdoor fairs and festivals to numerous clubs and music halls. He has also had the pleasure of opening the show for various acts over the years.

The Modern Day Outlaw sound is truly unique and appeals to an array of audiences. Rob brings this music to its highest level with his high energy stage presence, and the mixture of music can grab the soul of any open-minded listener. With the combined sounds of old and new in conjunction with the bands unquestionable musical abilities, the end result is something so heart-felt and sincere that a long-lasting connection is ultimately inevitable.

Multi-talented band with a quite outrageous and sublime sound about them.
Hailing from West Virginia, this ten-track album may seem like a relatively short release in these modern days of fifteen-plus tune albums. But this is no inferior release, and in fact is quite a stonking album, which raises the roof on more than occasion.
With all songs written by the bands members, you may be forgiven for thinking that maybe some of the tracks would be ineffective and poor. But no, in the duration of these ten tracks no sign of lacklustre effort is present. Perhaps the best of the lot is Thank You. A beautiful, enticing sound all around, it has the classic status labelled all over its verses and chorus. It has that bonus of sounding very similar to something you’ve heard before, but this song is new so that notion is thrown out of the window. Either way, no matter whether you believe to have heard of this track before, it sure is one hell of a good way to spend a few minutes. The recorded-live Got It Bad opens with provocative lyrics that then proceed into party mode in the same vein of Garth Brooks Friends In Low Places. Got It Bad is a tune, which is both endearing and splendid at the exact same time that never fails in pleasing the ears. It seems every country CD these days, and indeed throughout the history of this great genre, includes a slow track of some kind. The albums prime example of this song type is Simple Things but, unlike many of its predecessors, does not bore you or see you reaching to change to the next track. Simple Things being a tune to dance close to a loved one whilst looking into their eyes and thinking of nothing else apart from being lost in the moment of true happiness, it seems as though the vocals of lead-singer Rob seems ideal for such a track and he certainly flies high with this.
Admittedly listening to a number of American internet country music radio stations due to the scandalously lacklustre country exposure here in the UK, this band is a new one to me and probably to many of the general public. Such material deserves airplay, and I do hope this happens because such material needs radio exposure. RH

THREE STARS Southern sounds, hard blues, Roots Rock or Heavy Country (I just made that one up) …it pretty much sums it up all what Rob Logar has to offer. From traditional Country Tunes over Southern rock and back to Alt.Country, Rob Logar presents you 10 tracks on this Modern Day Outlaws full of beer drinking, car driving, heartbreaking tunes. Title track “Modern Day Outlaw” throws in some southern flavour. Follow up tune “Win Again” is according the press sheet one of their favourites and although done in a very traditional country style, this tune is definitely worth seeking out! “Outlaw Guitar Picker” turns your player into a rocking country machine and is without doubt a crowd pleaser, but it is “Red Dirt Risin’” that throws in all the good vibes! Including some Texas sound of ZZ TOP, some hard blues and not to forget melodic vocals. The tune is full of energy and has you on your feed in no time! “Better Land” is one of the tunes that is written by Bill Cleavenger the bass player of the band. Bill is a songwriter himself and before he and his wife Patty joined Rob Logar they had their own gigs now and then! Closing down the album is another tune done in the traditional country way! “Got It Bad” is one of those tunes that found its way to the audience through internet radio! Having been on many streams the tunes rapidly finds a fan base! Mr Blue Boogie.
