About MeLLoc Cadafi

MeLLoc Cadafi hails from St. Louis, MO; the same city that was made famous by the St. Louis Rams winning the Super Bowl and rap star Nelly from his commercially successful Country Grammar in 2000.  St. Louis is also home to rap stars  St. Lunatics, Chingy, Jae-Kwon, and Baby Huey.
What will seperate MeLLoc from his counterparts is his strive to be creative musically.  "What will make me so special in this rap game is me being a stand out from those who only clutter the rap genre.  My stand out position will be from my ability to muster thought provoking lyrics, something this game so desperately needs in today's time," MeLLoc Cadafi explains.
MeLLoc Cadafi gained inspiration to pursue rap from his older cousin who introduced him to legendary rappers such as Rakim, N.W.A, Geto Boys, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Ice T, etc.  As MeLLoc got older, he kept his skills sharp by battling from time to time.  He gained more inspiration from other rappers who will go down in history regarded as the greats such as Nas, Scarface, Jay Z, Eminem, Andre 3000, Mac, 50 Cent, 2Pac, Notorious Big, Lauryn Hill, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, etc.
But it was not always pleasant for MeLLoc as he came into age.  He experienced early deaths from family members and peers, and violence in his upbringing.  MeLLoc stated that the painful experiences he endured nurtured him into becoming a better writer.  Once someone listen to his content, one will understand and appreciate MeLLoc Cadafi's state of mind.  MeLLoc Cadafi states, "What really attracts me to this field is my true love for the music and that's as a fan first.  I grew up and lived through the ups and downs of this music genre.  So I seen it at its best and at its worst. And today the music is at its lowest point because somewhere down the line those doing it on a professional level stop loving it.  But, now the trying times calls for those who love it to return and rebuild it from shambles to usher in an era that's reminiscent of back in the day.  Once I emerge on the scene, I want fans to be able to recognize that quality in me."
